"One Finger Cannot Lift a Pebble" (Hopi proverb): The Power of Collaborative Systems

Our theme for this meeting is 'One Finger Cannot Lift a Pebble' (Hopi proverb): The Power of Collaborative Systems. The Collaborative is built on the notion that collaboration is key to our work, and in this meeting we’ll dig deeper into the concept. Collaboration comes in many forms and we want to learn as much as we can from each other. What collaborative relationships have helped you do your work and helped your district move towards more equitable and inclusive practices? What are some lessons you have learned that might help others?

Submit a Proposal by October 4, 2024

We encourage you to submit a proposal on your district’s collaborative work, both your successes and the barriers you have encountered. How has collaboration supported moving the district towards more equitable and inclusive practices? The submission deadline is October 4, 2024. Below are some questions to help spark some ideas. We are happy to support you in developing a proposal, so feel free to reach out to us to discuss your ideas: Is your district leadership team aligned with and working together to support schools? What about families, how do you collaborate with them? Do your schools help special and general educators collaborate and plan together? Are you working in partnership with your state? Are you working in partnership with local institutes of higher education?
